Each of us wants to drink clean, healthy water. To achieve this, many of us buy various filtration systems, whereas jugs are among the most common and most commonly used. Whether the filtration is effective and the filtered water is different, can be assessed to certain extent by ourselves according to the change in its sensory properties such as taste (reduced chlorine content), water clarity (removed turbidity and mechanical impurities) or by reduced scale formation in the kettle (reduced mineral content).
Here, we either have to rely on the manufacturers’ statement as to whether the given filtration equipment will deal with them or we can verify the filtration ability by a laboratory test. That’s what we did.
For the test, we have chosen the most commonly available jugs:
The tests themselves were performed by an accredited laboratory EL s.r.o. in Spišská Nová Ves. All jugs were brand new and activated according to the instructions (2x filtered volume with common water).
The incoming water before filtration contained most of the contaminants that may be present in drinking water in a precisely measured concentration. After filtering the water, the laboratory performed a chemical and microbiological analysis of all samples again.
Take a look at the results of particular analyses:
Water from the Quell Eiva kettle will not only taste better, but will also be free of almost all impurities. Thanks to the ability to remove microorganisms from the water, it will serve you not only at home but also when traveling abroad.
